the perfect black pants
[easy-image-collage id=656] There's a kind of unspoken rule when it comes to black pants, either they are the perfect fit, or they're trash.
The perfect black pants are not expensive, designer, or anything else fancy. They are the ones that fit the best. you can get the most expensive pants in the store, but if they don't fit you right, they will look like crap no matter what. I have owned hundreds of black pants in my life, but the best ones have always been from the Gap.
People always seem so surprised by this. They look designer because they are simple, and they fit better I think because Gap has a variety of different sizes. Most designer pants are too big for me (I know, my problems are so serious!) but Gap uses a different sizing scheme that makes the smaller sizes just right for me. They also have petite sizes, which I don't really buy because my legs are too long (:P I know! such problems!!)
I know the really skinny pants are so in now, and I have two pairs :P , but I also really love these. They're just 'slim' so they are not super tapered at the ankle. I saw some J brand pants that I just loved, but for nearly 300 bucks they were a bit too awesome for me.
So i went with these Gap ones, and I think I like them even more. They are a really thick fabric and don't stretch or wear out at all. Just right to hold the title of the 'perfect black pants.'
The only thing is the waistband is a little high to be low rise, and a little low to be high rise, it sits right on the hip. And it is not tapered at all, just straight up from the leg, so I need a belt to maintain some kind of shape..However, that's standard for me, so if you don't usually need a belt, you should be fine.
The perfect black pants are a must for any wardrobe!
