[easy-image-collage id=506] Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing moms!!
I was thinking about the perfect Mother's Day outfit as I was looking through my blog photos, and I realized that.... she probably would hate all of my outfits :D :D
All jokes aside though, I think my love of fashion comes from my mom dressing me in the cutest stuff when I was a kid, and later buying me whatever I want at the store (seriously, love her).
I think she would love this ballerina dress from Thayer. It is a perfect combination of girly and cute but also classy and not too childish. Also, my bra straps don't show, she would love that.
She probably would hate how much money I spent on it though ;)
I am sad to say that, unfortunately, I'll never get to show this off to her, as she passed away almost six years ago -- although I think she will still see it :)
I think it will make her happy to know that I am choosing dresses that she would like, that's why to me it's the perfect Mother's Day dress.
I couldn't find this exact dress anymore (and also, for some reason, Thayer is now only making swim accessories?)
I found this Ballerina inspired dress, from Alice and Olivia and it's on sale!
A lot of this type of dresses are for kids, so it was hard finding one that is just right, but this one is great! It's black, so you could get a lot of wears out of it, not just on Mother's Day.
Another favorite is this Free People dress. It's so rustic and girly, with a tulle lace skirt. I think my mom would love this one too.
My shoes are Tibi lace up sandals. I love these! If only you could see what I went through to replace the heel tips on them! I think it took two hours..all to avoid leaving my babies at the cobbler.
For jewelry I chose some big earrings, simple bracelets and a plain gold ring. Check out these awesome creations from Alexis Bittar, or these earrings that can be customized to have any initials written inside -- could also double as a Mother's Day gift. I also love these Rebecca Minkoff earrings, they put a new spin on the ole hoop!
I love the quartz bracelet, the pink stone is a perfect match to the color of the dress. My inspiration was this quartz Ippolita bracelet. The rose gold bracelet is House of Harlow, you can find a similar one here, and here.
And you're all set!
Happy Mother's Day! Love,
