It seems like just yesterday I was wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. But alas, another year has passed. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported my blog since I started it this year. It has been a tremendous learning experience in both internet dealings and my personal style.
For this Christmas Eve, I wanted to go with a simple yet holiday appropriate black dress, and this Zac Posen (for Target) dress absolutely hits the mark.
I have completely abandoned wearing hose. It was the Balmain holiday lookbook that made me think of wearing Mary Janes and tights again.
The tights/Mary Janes combo has been appearing a lot in fashion lately. Honestly, it's much easier to walk in Mary Janes and tights than slingbacks; they always slip off the back!
My shoes are Manolos, still available here.
My dress is Zac Posen -- for target ;) -- but still encompasses the elements that make Zac Posen a legend when it comes to gowns.
The top of the dress is classic Zac Posen, a lot of his gowns have a similar cut on top (kind of like this one). The fabric is also extremely thick and durable. I think this is the one for Target collection that was a huge win.
I also like that the dress is shorter, as it is more something I can wear to a family or friend gathering (like this one). The original Zac Posen gown would be way too much for that kind of event.
I chose to pair this dress with a belt to give a bit more color. I love this reversible Ferragamo belt because you get a red and black belt in one. This Tory Burch belt is great too, the silver is perfect for the holidays.
This Ferragamo belt is a great choice for a cocktail dress, and the bow makes it even more festive.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, whatever you celebrate!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
