loubs and red lips

loubs and red lips 0634 I chose this outfit to work around my red lipstick and the red soles of my Louboutin shoes. In this case, clothes serve the woman, not the other way around.

When we fall victim to consumerism, that changes. We become dependent on items, and lose ourselves. Clothes are meant to enhance us.

Love the details on the skirt, reminds me of a St. Laurent, or a Balmain.

It's actually from Mango, here's a faux leather version. Of course I love a St. Laurent mini, but this Alexander Wang skirt is great too. This one is another affordable version

Zellige necklace from Tiffany's, similar here.

Another similar charm necklace from David Yurman.

Pardon my bra strap ;))

My Louboutins are the simple suede pump, here in pointed toe. Also here in the round toe version in leather, and patent. A classic that will never go out of style.

And of course, Ruby Woo lipstick to match the sole. Another classic that doesn't go out of style.

The Ferragamo clutch is another simple accessory that doesn't overwhelm the outfit. Similar here.

This top is double layered, with only the bottom tucked in.

This asymmetrical tank is also great to add some geometry to the look. This Alice+Olivia top is a double layer cropped version.

I love the simplicity of the look, yet it still serves its' purpose by being unique. It's not a shrine to trends or consumerism, but a representation of who I am.

And isn't that what fashion is all about after all?
