little black dress
The little black dress, or LBD, is probably the one thing we can all agree we have in our wardrobe. I just love this Juicy Couture dress (I never know how to spell it!). Honestly, I bought it because it reminds of the Herve Leger dresses. I know they sometimes get a bad rap as being kinda douchey, but for a simple little black dress, Herve Leger is a great choice.
This Nicole Miller dress looks similar, and it has cutouts on the back, to give it edge.
This one is FIYAH and I wish I bought it too! The longer hemline offsets the plunging v-neck, so the look is classy, and it doesn't seem like too much.
The back zipper is a great addition, and makes it stand out a bit more. Also makes it easier to put on, ha ha. Any LBD that stands out is a great choice. The full length zipper makes the little black dress a better fit as well; there's no gathering at the waist and hips. This dress is kind of cool, with a zipper and sheer back.
For shoes I just chose a simple tan sandal. These minimalist sandals are a perfect addition to a little black dress. And they go well with almost anything, so they're definitely worth the purchase. The Manolo Blahnik Chaos are my favorite, and in a lower price range these B.P. sandals. If you want to splurge, I also recommend the Stuart Weitzman Nudist. I think these Calvin Klein sandals work great as well, and the price is in the middle range.
I love anything with a sheer back, and it's prefect on a little black dress. Here is one from Ali Ro, and it's on sale! The dress on the collage is Elizabeth and James (bottom right), and I have it hanging in my closet. I couldn't find it anywhere online, but I found a similar one without sleeves -- might actually be better because I always rip the long sleeve one whenever I squeeze into it :D
