LA Photos And Favourite Places
Some LA Photos And Favourite Places
I have lived in LA for almost 23 years and wanted to share some of my favourite LA photos and places with you. I'm always amazed by what some 'tourist guides' show as places to go in LA. Everything is so tourist-y and basic. These are some places I love that never get boring.
This sunset is from my favourite beach, Will Rogers. It's not very crowded or popular, and it's right by my high school, so I've been coming here for years. Probably the most beautiful beach is Point Dume, right off Westward Rd. near Malibu. I don't have too many photos of it, you'll just have to check it out yourself!
Palos Verdes is another gorgeous place for LA photos, right near Redondo Beach.
Check out this awesome overcast sunset in February, again at Will Rogers.
Houses in the Hills
Shout out to this awesome house where I got to spend my birthday a couple of years ago. It was so cold I kept spilling my drink because I was shaking :PP
The fire did not help at all!
But this view is so worth it!
I had a dream I was walking on a road similar to that tree, so I totally flipped when I saw it.
Descanso Gardens is a super pretty place to visit, especially in the spring and summer.
Best views in LA? Out of a plane, obvi!
This is the view from my bedroom. I honestly don't know how anyone can live anywhere else.
The view from Yamashiro. Very touristy and perfect for those LA photos.
The views from Runyon Canyon are some of the best!
Malibu Wine Safari
Is that title confusing? Well it is exactly how it sounds. Malibu wine safari is a place for wine tasting, and a safari, including a famous giraffe named Stanley.
I had the pleasure of working here one day, and meeting the giraffe. Do visit this place, it's an absolute gem!
Home to LACMA, this area is very pretty, if you can tolerate the traffic.
Just because you're in a tourist destination, doesn't mean you can't take some amazing pics!
One of my favourite places to go to clear my head is The Getty Centre. I just recently discovered how gorgeous (and deserted) it is when it rains. It's amazing how different places can seem when just the weather changes. Here's my post of all the photos I took that day.
No LA photos are complete with a beautiful sunset shot!
Downtown LA has become one of those awesome spots with a ton going on. It's not as dumpy as it used to be, and definitely worth a visit. These spots are just some places I chose out of many, MANY great options.
The view from Perch LA. This place is on the roof where you can get an amazing panoramic view of the whole city.
Clifton's, a bar/restaurant with one of the coolest interiors.
Walt Disney Concert Hall, Frank Gehry's deconstructivist style building, is most people's favourite. I was fortunate to take this photo while at a wedding in the garden.
I'm not exactly sure what this place is, I think it's an event venue. It also has some amazing views, although sadly I didn't see any hummingbirds.
Another place I think very few people know about is Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House.
You can also go inside, but I forgot my credit card, so could only admire the Mayan revival from outside. Another Mayan Revival house is the Ennis house, by the Greek Theatre in Los Feliz.
These places don't really fit into any of the above categories, but are part of my favourite LA photos still.
Museum of broken relationships in Hollywood.
LA roadster show in Pomona.
The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills. A concert venue where many incredible musicians have played, including BB King and Leon Russell. One of my favourite places to go mainly because of its' huge parking lot!
I hope you enjoyed my LA photos post which has now turned into a full tourist guide! Let me know which you liked best!
