Happy Easter Sunday to all who celebrate! He is risen, indeed! The Eastern Orthodox Church, which I grew up around, actually celebrates Easter at a different time, so I've never been involved with American Easter Sunday traditions.
I wanted to pick a dress that captures the social aspects of easter: egg hunts, bunnies, and the coming of spring.
I hope this dress isn't too short or revealing for Easter Sunday, but since I'm not well versed in these traditions, maybe some of you can help me out.
This dress is Robert Rodriguez, found here.
I love how the print kind of looks like a Mondrian. I think the bold print signifies 'spring' perfectly. It's a great dress for Easter Sunday.
This floral print Nicole Miller is also a perfect option for today's activities, granted you're not doing an egg hunt in the forest... although it might still work ;)
This Milly dress is perfect for Easter, it's spring-y and still very appropriate for a religious holiday. I like this other Milly dress for the same reason. This Prabal Gurung dress is also perfect if you can afford a splurge.
If you're not very religious, and just want to capture the social aspects of Easter Sunday, kind of like I'm doing, this Roberto Cavalli dress is a great option. It's a little too revealing at the top to be the right dress for church.
I went with some big earrings from House of Harlow, similar here. I still wanted to add a bit of an edge to this outfit, even though it's Easter Sunday. I love the geometric design of these earrings, and they're a perfect match for a printed dress.
Finally, I wanted to wear my Manolo boots, and luckily they worked perfectly here. These Manolos are a similar style. While these are a more dressed up version. I also love these St. Laurent lace up boots, they would look perfect at Easter Sunday, even though they're boots.
Hope you all had a great weekend, and happy Sunday!
