I was a little overwhelmed with all the inspiration in my 'outfit inspiration' folder, so I thought to go with an LBD, it's simple, not over thinking it.
I chose a knit jacket because I was freezing, and since I would probably be cold even inside, I wanted to wear a jacket that can kind of double as a blazer.
Obviously, I was hoping to imitate this McQueen jacket. The sleeves are much more exaggerated, but I don't think I did so terribly. A much more affordable version would be this Haute Hippie jacket, it's on sale, and looks like it would be warm as well.
My dress is a Juicy Couture ponte dress (similar here).
I previously raved about this dress, and I thought the thick fabric would hold its' shape and last forever. But it has stretched a bit at the hem. I don't really understand why since I don't wear it that much, I might have to replace it soon. Then, this Zac Posen dress will be my number one choice.
This IRO dress is a really cool LBD to have. And it definitely won't stretch out since it's leather (it's great for a winter dress too)!
look at my food baby :D :D
Think I'll call him Cecil ( I really like that name)
My gloves were my mom's; they're probably about 30 years old. They're just simple cashmere lined gloves, like these, that end up lasting forever. I also like the colour of these Coach gloves, and these consignment Dolce & Gabbana ones are a great price!
I bought my stole at Neiman Marcus (similar here), think it was on a Black Friday sale too!
I prefer a stole instead of an actual fur coat. Personally I don't need a fur coat, I understand it's necessary in some places. But I love the concept of a stole because it changes every jacket I already have into a new one. Especially when it's a dark brown, it doesn't detract from the black, but adds just a hint of colour.
This is an absolutely gorgeous stole, but definitely on the expensive side. I also love this faux one, the downside of faux fur is it tends to nap and look worn and old fairly quickly. For that price however, it's worth it even if you'll need to replace it.
I finished the look off with some Manolos. I didn't want a black shoe here because everything else is so dark. Also, tan shoes make your legs look longer, these Christian Louboutin pumps will definitely do the trick.
I wore some cluster earrings to finish off my look (Adia Kibur). I like cluster earrings especially with my hair style, since they draw attention to my face. These Sam Edelman earrings are a great size and color. And I love the price of these, from Neiman Marcus.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and be safe out there on Black Friday!
