Teal The Season

Teal The Season

Teal the season.. see what I did there??

In an effort to wear more colours, I decided that the colour of the season is teal. If you’re still debating what to wear for New Years Eve, this cheap little dress has a great winter look. Of course if the ‘winter look’ you’re going for is a major chest cold. But it’s NYE, so it’s passable.

Get The Look

Teal is a great colour because it goes with any skin tone. Even my pasty self looks okay. It has both green and blue hues so it works for warm and cool skin tones. I don’t know why, but this colour has a holiday vibe.

I’m using the blazer to show where a warmer coat might go, but we actually don’t need them this year. I like the long sleeves on this dress, it just looks kind of wintry, even though it’s anything but. Also, wearing a blazer here kind of looks like a blazer dress, which I always love.

Since the dress is the main attraction here, I just went with some simple black pumps. I also like black boots for this look if the weather is too cold. But the plain black heels are a perfect addition to your wardrobe if you don’t already have a pair.

Since teal has both cool and warm tones in it, both gold and silver jewelry would work well, and I have worn both with this dress. I really like simple gold chains, and the low neckline is perfect for a body chain.
