Over The Knee Boots Lookbook
OTK boots are everywhere at the moment, so I couldn’t resist putting together this over the knee boots lookbook. I forewent the obvious ones, like sweater dresses and leather leggings. Those outfits are all great but I feel like we’ve seen them a thousand times. So hopefully you’ll find these five outfits more unique and interesting!
First, you are going to need some boots! Here are some great ones in all different price ranges.
with a blazer dress
Another trend I’m obsessed with this season is the blazer dress. It has been everywhere, and I loved the way it was paired with over the knee boots at Balmain, so I thought I’d try it too!
You too can pull off this look! How? Lots and lots of tape. And safety pins. Since this is just a blazer I had to pin it closed and tape to my body.
Another trend I’ve seen, especially in the spring fashion shows, is the head wrap, so I thought why not throw one of those on there!
with your holiday dress
I love this green dress for Christmas! The colour and the flared sleeves just remind me so much of something elfin, and it is perfect for the holidays.
I also love how sheer tights look with over the knee boots. When they’re the same colour as the boots the whole outfit looks so well put-together and chic. Not to mention, your legs look longer!
with a skirt suit
Ok, this isn’t really a skirt suit. It’s not even the same brand! But the gold buttons on the jacket and skirt match perfectly so I love wearing it together.
This whole outfit looks very ‘Jackie O’ in my opinion, so I love throwing in that over the knee boot to throw everyone off their game. If you’re nervous about wearing OTK boots because you think they’ll look whore-ish, this is the best way for you to try them out!
with jeans and a bodysuit
I’ll admit, over the knee boots over jeans is not my favourite look. First of all, it’s very hard to put on. Second of all, I think it just looks too bulky. That’s why I went with a bodysuit for this outfit, the contrast of the low back with the boots and jeans makes it look a little less bundled up.
No over the knee boots lookbook is complete without a jeans example. I think darker jeans are better; I don’t really like those outfits with black boots and light jeans. The furry vest is also super cute with a sleeveless top like a bodysuit. I love this look for night out.
with leggings and a tuxedo shirt
This outfit I can save for the coldest winter days in LA. I couldn’t do an over the knee boots lookbook without leggings. Although I have to say, it was hard to put these on too. What I love most about OTK boots is that they can be worn with skirts and dresses, making them the perfect shoe for colder weather when you still want to wear a skirt. But this outfit is nice too. Whenever I wear leggings, I like to wear silk on top, to make them look nicer. The all black on the bottom also makes my legs look super long, so I’m not complaining!
I hope you all like the outfits I put together, and I will be back soon with holiday inspo!
