Resort LookBook 2018
One of my favourite designer lines out this year is Marissa Webb’s Resort 2018. For this post, I wanted to create my own Resort lookbook, inspired by the outfits I saw from her collection.
Ruffles, floral prints, and off shoulder stuff is all the rage for resort looks. Creating lookbooks has always been something I love, and I wanted to bring some inspiration to you as you choose your outfits! These five outfits encompass everything that I think is necessary when putting your resort outfits together.
Off-shoulder tops, and Bardot tops paired with ruffle leather minis inspired this look. This rose top is great for spring, but offset by a leather mini it fits in with the resort lookbook mood. The floral embroidery on the skirt works perfectly with the applique roses.
One of my favourite colours for any season is this khaki green. The Marissa Webb outfit I so lovingly copied also has the green top off the shoulder like this. It’s a cool and interesting way to ‘renew’ a button-down in your closet.
As I mentioned earlier, the off shoulder ruffle sleeve tops are everywhere. This outfit is another perfect look for the Resort lookbook, as it is a spring colour, but the suede look of the top makes this fit more with the season.
No Resort lookbook is complete without a dress. I loved the red dress Marissa Webb had in her collection, so I wanted to add one to mine as well. By adding a tie belt I was able to make this dress more ‘ruffly’ than it was. I love that this continues to be a trend.
Suede pants are another item perfect for a Resort lookbook. This outfit collection is all about bridging the gap between summer and fall. Kind of a group of outfits you can take on vacay with you. Suede pants, especially these faux ones, are great because they are a fall staple. The floral print and ruffles of the tank still hint back to spring and summer. Chic suede flats and heels are a great way to wrap up all these outfits.
I hope you guys enjoyed my Resort Lookbook and it has inspired some of your outfits!
