Outfits from Heatwaves of Yore
It’s so weird having a heatwave so late in October because I’ve already switched into fall mode. But this year has been insane where weather is concerned. So this is my heatwave outfit that I’ve worn this week.
I tried to incorporate a fall vibe into this heatwave outfit, that’s where the longer skirt comes in. It’s still got a flowy silhouette which is more on par with summer and heat.
Get The Look
Since this is a heatwave outfit, the crop top is a must. I really liked this look from the summer, it was very minimalist and looked chic even though it’s perfect for the extreme heat. As temperatures keep rising, we will really have to make some longterm adjustments in our wardrobes and our daily lives. I’ve been reading a lot of articles about designers developing styles and fabrics that will be suitable in extreme heat. I guess this is their only option as it looks like our elected officials don’t really ‘believe’ in global warming.
I love this skirt because it can be worn multi-way. It can be a dress as well, at least on me it can. Ah, the perks of being short! The waterfall style is perfect for the summer, and makes a great heatwave outfit!
I had to pull these lace-up sandals from retirement as well. I wore them a lot when the gladiator sandals were in style, I just couldn’t bring myself to buy any new ones. These look very authentically greek.
I love this Zara backpack because it looks like the Akris triangle bag. The gold accents also go really well with this look and chain belt.
I am obsessed with this chain belt, and chain belts in general. I think the gold adds just the right amount of colour to this all black outfit, and I love the slight throwback to the 90s!
I hope you’re all staying cool out there!
